Wiring for Orenco Panels
With the Holidays drawing near and before diving into this month’s PRO TIP, from the entire team at Valley Precast, we want to wish all the very best for the upcoming Holiday season. We are so very thankful for your business.
The Pro tip for the month is correct wiring of our entire line of Orenco panels. After being in this position for a considerable amount of time, I have noted that there are many inconsistencies regarding the set up. Let me start by giving some basic information then the big WHY we request panels to be set up in a particular format.
Each of the control panels has basic information located on the inside of the panel door stating voltage and amperage requirements. This needs to be followed as well as the additional note that Valley Precast would prefer to have the same breakers, mirrored breakers, located at the main breaker panel rather than 1 circuit to cover the voltage and amperage requirements. In doing so this will alleviate potential problems.
Our major concern and worry is a single circuit. When the panels are set up using this method, the system can trip out that single breaker causing loss of pump/pumps as well as loss of all control functions. This would leave any homeowner unaware that the system is full until they add one last flush and it backs up.
Using a single breaker could end with a phone call from a customer asking for reimbursement funds for cleaning their home after a sewage backup. Additional costs that nobody wants to hear from a once happy customer.
